Offshore bookkeeping services
What offshore bookkeeping looks like in practice
Offshore bookkeeping means your books are kept by a team outside the US at a lower rate. The questions that matter are where the team sits, when it works, who checks the work and how your data is handled. Here is how we answer each one.
Where
A US company, a team in Dhaka
Opteamus LLC is a US company based in Torrance, California. The bookkeepers and accountants doing your work are based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
When
US business hours
The team works on US time, so you and your CPA can reach the people doing the work live during your day, not by overnight email.
Who checks
CA-level QA review
A Director of Accounting and Finance with CA-level expertise trains the team and reviews the work before statements reach you or your CPA.
Your data
Inside your own software
We work inside your QuickBooks or other accounting software, logins stay in a password manager, every team member signs an NDA and managers monitor the browsers the team works in.
Monthly bookkeeping, catch-up work, payables, receivables, payroll and statement prep are all delivered this way, directly to small businesses or white-label for CPA firms. Tax return preparation stays with your CPA.
What's included

Routine bookkeeping and reconciliations sit at the lower end; month-end close, statements, cleanups and audits sit higher. Every rate includes QA review. Tax returns stay with your CPA. Prefer a fixed monthly price? We offer monthly retainer packages on request.

FAQ
Common questions
How much do outsourced bookkeeping services cost with Opteamus?
Accounting and bookkeeping starts at $15 an hour. Your exact rate depends on the work and volume, and we confirm it on a free discovery call. See how bookkeeping prices compare.
Do you prepare tax returns?
No. We handle bookkeeping, reconciliations, payables and receivables, payroll and financial statement preparation. Tax return preparation stays with your CPA or firm.
Can you work under my firm's brand?
Yes. We work white-label for CPA firms, accounting firms and fractional CFOs, and client names stay private.
Who oversees the work?
Our Director of Accounting and Finance, who has CA-level expertise, trains the accounting team and oversees QA review of the work.
How do you protect client data?
Every team member signs an NDA, client logins are kept in a password manager, and we work inside your own accounting software rather than copying files out of it.
What is virtual bookkeeping?
Your bookkeeping done remotely, inside your own accounting software, by a team you never have to hire or house. Opteamus runs virtual bookkeeping from Dhaka during US business hours, so you can reach the team live during your day.
Is it safe to outsource bookkeeping overseas?
It is when the provider controls access properly. Our team works inside your own software, logins stay in a password manager, every team member signs an NDA, and managers monitor the browsers the team works in. Client data is not copied to personal devices.
What hours do you work?
US business hours. Our team is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and works on US time, so you can reach us live during your working day.
Which accounting software do you work in?
Yours. We work inside the software you already use rather than moving your data into ours. QuickBooks is the most common, including QuickBooks payroll. Tell us what you use on the discovery call and we confirm the setup before the work starts.
How do you get access to my books?
You invite us into your own software as an accountant or team user, so you control the access and can remove it at any time. Logins are kept in a password manager, and team members work in monitored browsers without saving client files to their own devices.
What do I receive each month?
Books that are current and reconciled, with the financial statements for the month prepared for you or your CPA. The scope is agreed on the first call, so you know what a finished month looks like before we start, and you can message the team during US business hours whenever you have a question.
Need more accounting capacity?
We reply the same business day.
